How to answer children when they ask how children come into the world

AA

Question

In G-d's help, hello. I have children ages 4 to 10. How should I answer them when they ask how children come into the world? It should be noted that we are a Haredi family. On the one hand, I do not want to evade the question, but on the other hand, what should one answer?

Answer

Hello I think that today, unlike more than a decade ago, the overwhelming majority do not conceal from children that there is a matter of pregnancy, in which the mother carries the child within her for a certain period until birth. As for how the pregnancy comes about, there is no need to elaborate and explain, and that does not burden the child either. It is enough for the child to understand that at the mother's age, pregnancy comes naturally.

Much success - Menashe Yisrael
