The Special Tikkun for 40 Days: Should One Ask Each Day or Only at the End?

AA

Question

Peace and blessings, honored rabbi. My questions are:

1. If I read the Tikkun HaKlali at 9 p.m., according to non-Jews it is still considered, for example, Monday until midnight, but according to Judaism the day changes at sunset. So is this considered that I read it for Tuesday or Monday?

2. I want to read the Tikkun Klali for 40 days. My question is: should I make the request at the end of the 40th day, or every day after completing the Tikkun?

3. Is there greater power if I ask one specific request at the end of the Tikkun Klali, or does it not matter and I may ask several requests and their power is equal? Thank you very much. May you be blessed.

Answer

Peace and blessings

1. Ideally, it is not proper to recite Tehillim at night until after midnight.

The matter of the 40 days is calculated from waking until going to sleep.

2. Ask every day.

3. It is preferable to focus on one matter.

With blessings,

Benjamin Shmueli
