Prayer and Blessings
Should I say Birkot HaShachar if I go back to sleep for another two hours?
Question
Hi, first question: I get up every morning at 5:00-6:00 to feed my daughter and go back to sleep after half an hour or an hour. Sometimes I feel like drinking or smoking during that time. Do I need to say Modeh Ani, Birkot HaShachar, and wash my hands if I am going back to sleep for another two or three hours? Or do I need to say them again? Second question: Is it permitted to drink vodka bought in duty free without a kashrut label?
Answer
Shalom u-vrachah
You are permitted to drink and smoke, but the blessings are not to be recited except upon the final rising.
It depends which vodka it is; please write the company name.
With blessings,
Benjamin Shmueli
