Is It Permitted to Get a Haircut on Isru Chag?

AA

Question

Is it permitted to get a haircut on Isru Chag?

Thank you in advance

Answer

Greetings,

On Isru Chag of Sukkot, it is permitted. However, Isru Chag of Passover falls during the days of the Omer, and Sephardim are accustomed not to get haircuts until the morning of LaD B'Omer (19 Iyar), while Ashkenazim until the morning of Lag B'Omer (18 Iyar).

With blessings,

Hillel Meirs
