What Does Judaism Say About the Birth of the Founder of Christianity?

AA

Question

Hello Rabbi,

Here where we are, they are distributing pamphlets about Jesus.

I wanted to know what Judaism says about the birth of Jesus. I learned through Hidabroot (Rabbis Zamir and Fanger) that, from what we know, Jesus was a mamzer - which makes a great deal of sense. My question is: what are the chances that Jesus's mother would tell such a story to her husband and family - that she conceived from the Holy Spirit?

And really, the one who was born - Jesus - caused Christianity to be created, one of the largest religions in the world? What an insane coincidence, no?

Answer

With Hashem's help
Greetings,
In fact, there are versions in the New Testament that do not mention the story of the virgin conception at all, and therefore it is possible that, in fact, this story was added at a later period.
Regarding your question,
Mary did not need to tell about it. It would have been enough for there to be suspicion about her - for example, if her husband became angry with her and did not agree to attribute the child to him, did not take the child to the mohel, or if the father was absent for an extended period because of work, and when he returned she was pregnant, etc. The neighbors notice, and rumors at such a level spread quickly.
No one believed in Jesus of his own free will. The New Testament says that Jesus had only 12 disciples. The New Testament was written by only four disciples.
Only more than a hundred years after Jesus death, Christianity was imposed by the force of the sword by the Roman Empire. People preferred to agree to Christianity rather than be killed. That is not such a great wisdom...
Today, in the democratic era in which Christianity is not imposed by force, the number of Christians is declining and disappearing.
Even Muhammad created one of the largest religions in the world.
There are no coincidences in the world, and Jesus and Muhammad, despite their lies and mistakes, indirectly spread the name of the people of Israel and the Torah throughout the world, so that in the future, when the true Messiah of Israel comes, all the nations will know who the people of Israel are and what the holy Torah is, and they will return from their mistakes.

With blessings,
