Eating the Eyes of Cooked Fish or Lamb
Question
Is it permitted, from the standpoint of safeguarding one’s health, to eat the eyes of cooked fish or lamb? Thank you!!

It is permitted to eat them, and indeed some eat the eye of the fish and say, May it be Your will that You watch over us with open eyes (Netai Gavriel, Rosh Hashanah, chapter 29, section 8). Some eat eyes and say, May it be Your will that You open our eyes in Your Torah (Siddur HaGeonim VeHaMekubalim VeHaChassidim, part 12, page 64).
