Does the inscription "In the name of Hashem we shall do and succeed" require genizah?
Question
I write a lot at the top of pages: "In the name of Hashem we shall do and succeed." Do these pages require genizah or recycling? Thank you.
Answer
Shalom u-vrachah,
This inscription does not require genizah, because it is not a verse from the Torah or a statement of Chazal, but only a saying, and therefore these pages may be placed in the trash as usual (and so wrote in Genzei HaKodesh, page 315).
