Kosher Oil Abroad

AA

Question

Is olive oil or soybean oil kosher abroad? Can it be purchased in a grocery store abroad or in a supermarket?
What about soft cheeses and yogurts?

Answer

Greetings and blessings,

Pure olive oil or soybean oil may be purchased without kosher certification.

One who is careful not to eat milk from a non-Jew will not buy cheese without kosher certification. One who is not careful about this may eat these products, so long as they contain no additives at all.

With blessings,

Benjamin Shmueli
