Cigarette on Shabbat

AA

Question

Hello, Rabbi.

I would be glad if you could answer several questions for me:

1. Is it possible to smoke a cigarette on Shabbat by transferring fire from a memorial candle to the cigarette? Is it also possible on a holiday? Why?

2. Is it possible to watch television on Shabbat when the television is on from before Shabbat until after Shabbat?

3. Is it possible to watch television on Shabbat through the neighbors’ window?

4. When there is a puddle of juice/water, and I put my fingers into this puddle and begin to scribble, so to speak, in the puddle, am I permitted to do this because of writing and erasing?

I am sorry, Rabbi, for the many questions, but it will help me very much.

From me: Maayan D.
