If someone vomited meat, must he wait six hours before eating dairy?

AA

Question

Hello, honored rabbi,
Sorry for the question.
A few years ago I was told that if a person vomits meat food that he ate several hours earlier, he still must wait 6 hours between meat and dairy.
Is that correct? If I vomited in the morning what I ate the day before, do I have to wait 6 hours between meat and dairy?
Thank you very much for the answer

Answer

Hello,

One must wait six hours from the time one ate the meat that was vomited, and not from the time of the vomiting. Therefore, if you vomited in the morning what you ate the day before, there is no need to wait at all, if six hours have already passed.
