Shoes Near the Head While Sleeping
Question
Is it permitted to sleep with shoes behind one’s head at a distance of one meter?
Thank you
Answer
Greetings,
It should be stated at the outset that there is no prohibition against placing shoes near one’s head while sleeping; however, according to Kabbalah there is reason to avoid doing so (Avodat HaKodesh, part 1, siman 7, ot 112), and at a distance of one meter there is no concern even according to Kabbalah.
With blessings,
