Must One Who Did Not Sleep All Night Recite the Morning Blessings?

AA

Question

Does a person who did not sleep all night need to recite the morning blessings? This seems related to those who do sleep at night, right?

Answer

Shalom u'vrachah

One recites the blessings even if they did not sleep at night, except for the blessing on washing hands. According to the Ashkenazi authorities, the blessings of Elokai Neshama (God of my soul), the Torah blessings, and the blessing for removing sleep from one's eyes are preferably recited through another person.

Wishing you success,
