Taking Pills on the Fast of Tisha B'Av
Question
I have not been feeling well for a few days, and I am taking antibiotics and pain relief medication right now (on the Fast of Tisha B'Av). I have severe pain, and I want to know if I am allowed to take medications. Thank you
Answer
You are permitted to take pills that do not have a pleasant taste on Tisha B'Av. If you cannot swallow them without water, you may swallow a small amount of water as needed for swallowing.
