The Coming of Mashiach

Question

Hello esteemed rabbi, I have been living with my boyfriend for half a year, and recently I have become more observant, so my way of thinking has changed. Today I think that we are living in prohibition; what should I do? I know that we should get married, but on the other hand, in light of everything I have heard recently about the prophecies that are supposed to come (the last war, the end of days, Gog and Magog) very soon, I am afraid that I will not make it. Also, I have heard about rabbis who say not to schedule weddings in the near future. Overall, I am thinking about how I will manage to get married, and if so, then why get married since I heard about all these prophecies. I no longer see or plan for the future. I would like to receive your guidance on this matter.

Answer

Shalom and blessings

It is a mistake to stop the routine of life that the Torah commands us, rather, we must strive even more to keep the laws of the Torah so that we can greet the Messiah without shame.

Even after the Messiah and the complete redemption comes, people will continue to marry and build families, so you can definitely move ahead with planning a wedding soon, and if it helps, perhaps you will be privileged to honor the King Messiah who will arrange for you the kiddushin and the chuppah.

There are no rabbis who say not to schedule weddings in the near future.

Wishing you success, and may it be with good fortune, Menashe Israel
