"There is no despair in the world" - what does it mean?

AA

Question

So how does it fit that many people have fallen into despair in life and even committed suicide because they could no longer endure?
Sometimes life is so despairing that nothing seems to go right, so how does this align with the statement of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov?

Answer

Greetings and blessings

There is no place for despair at all, and one must work on themselves not to fall into despair. But it is clear that the choice is in the hands of the individual; if one wishes, they will strengthen themselves and not despair, and if one does not wish to strengthen themselves, God forbid, they may come to despair.

Wishing you success,

Benjamin Shmueli
