Time for Reciting Tikkun Chatzot

AA

Question

From what time and until what time is it possible to say Tikkun Chatzot? And what is recited during Tikkun Chatzot, especially this month, regarding Tikkun Rachel or Tikkun Leah?

Thank you very much

Answer

Greetings,

The time for reciting Tikkun Chatzot is from midnight. Tikkun Rachel may be said until dawn. Additionally, it is preferable to say Tikkun Leah before dawn; however, it is permissible to say it afterward as well, since they are merely psalms (Yalkut Yosef, Part 1, Siman 1, Section 49). During these days, both "Tikkun Rachel" and "Tikkun Leah" are recited.

Best regards,

Hillel Meirs
