Leaving Open Food Overnight
Question
If I accidentally left food uncovered overnight (an open bag of food, a pot of food without a lid), is it permissible to eat the food? If not, what should I do? Please provide a source for the answer.

It is permissible to eat this food without concern. Even regarding uncovered liquids, which the Gemara states are prohibited due to the possibility that a snake introduced poison, the Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De'ah 116:1 states that nowadays, since snakes are not common among us, there is no prohibition in this matter.
