5 Minutes on Parshat Bo: Who Are Your Role Models?
Rabbi Avi Hoolin
Beyond retelling the story of the Exodus, the Torah teaches that spiritual growth requires clarity: not only doing good, but also rejecting and distancing ourselves from negative values. Egypt was a powerful and admired empire, yet deeply corrupt, and the Torah teaches us not to be impressed by power, fame, or popularity when they are empty of morality. This class challenges us to examine our own value system, the culture we admire, and the influences we allow into our lives, and reminds us that true Jewish strength comes from purity, wisdom, and connection to Torah.
