Praying for Needs vs. Luxuries: Why Purim Is Different

We are taught that there is a difference between praying for necessities, and praying for luxuries. When we ask for what we truly need, Hashem promises to answer. When we ask for more, He listens, but the outcome is not guaranteed. Purim however, is the exception. Drawing from Megillat Esther, this powerful insight reveals why even requests for “extra” blessing can be fulfilled on Purim — a day when Heaven responds beyond the usual measure.
