Israeli donations through Charidy surged sharply in 2025, even as the country faced a year marked by security instability and uncertainty. According to the company’s year-end data, Israelis donated ₪432 million through the platform over the past year, representing a 37% increase compared to 2024, when donations totaled ₪365 million.

Beyond the overall rise in donations, the scope of activity on the platform also widened. In 2025, Charidy hosted 3,931 active fundraising campaigns worldwide, up from 3,739 campaigns the previous year. The increase reflects a broader trend toward more strategic and large-scale fundraising efforts, with organizations relying on targeted outreach and advanced digital tools rather than short-term, ad hoc campaigns.

Alongside Israel’s growth, Charidy also reported a substantial rise in global giving. Total donations worldwide climbed by more than 21%, increasing from $606 million in 2024 to $734 million in 2025.

Several campaigns stood out during the year. A fundraising drive led by the Chabad Yeshiva in Tzfat reached close to ₪100 million, becoming one of the largest crowdfunding campaigns ever recorded in Israel. In parallel, long-established medical and social assistance organizations continued to draw broad public support. Groups such as Ezer Mizion, Larger Than Life, and Friends of MDA ranked among the leading recipients of donations, with Ezer Mizion recording the highest number of individual donors to a single project.

Another prominent trend in 2025 was a marked rise in so-called “Major Gifts” within the digital fundraising space. Charidy reported that several strategic donors contributed unusually large sums during the year, signaling a shift in how high-value donors engage with online platforms. The largest single donation recorded in 2025 reached ₪7.2 million.

Charidy CEO Shai Chervinsky said the data reflects a broader transformation in Israeli philanthropy. “The 2025 data proves that Israel’s culture of giving has entered a mature and professional stage,” he said. “The public opened its heart even in a challenging year. It did so in a more focused way. The double-digit growth in Israel, alongside the growth we are seeing in our offices worldwide, is the result of improved technological tools and organizations’ ability to turn data into trust-based, effective fundraising.”
