The IDF spokesperson said this evening (Monday) that two Hezbollah terrorists from the "Radwan Force" were captured in southern Lebanon and transferred for interrogation in Israel. The terrorists were identified by Givati troops who were in the midst of an operation to locate weapons.

The forces spotted the armed terrorists who planned to fire an anti-tank missile at the troops. The terrorists had also set up an anti-tank position and planned to advance firing routes toward northern Israeli communities. Shortly after the identification, the forces arrested the terrorists after they surrendered and located numerous weapons and munitions. The forces destroyed the building from which the terrorists were operating.

A preliminary investigation by 504 investigators indicates that the terrorists came from the Beqaa area to southern Lebanon at the start of Operation "Lion's Roar". This is in contrast to the Lebanese Army's claims of achieving operational control south of the Litani. According to the IDF, "This case once again proves that the Lebanese Army failed and did not prevent the movement of terrorists and weapons south of the Litani. The IDF will continue to act forcefully against the Hezbollah terrorist organization that decided to join the campaign and operate under the auspices of the Iranian regime, and will not allow harm to the civilians of the State of Israel".
