NYT: Saudi Crown Prince Urges Trump to Keep Up Strikes on Iran
The New York Times reports Mohammed bin Salman pressed the White House to keep the war going until Iran’s regime is removed, calling the joint U.S.-Israel operation a "historic opportunity"—as Saudi Arabia and the UAE are "considering" joining and Pakistan floats talks.

The Saudis say that "the joint U.S.-Israel military operation provides a historic opportunity to reshape the Middle East".
According to the report, bin Salman conveyed to the White House that pressure should be applied to eliminate the extremist regime in Iran. The Saudi crown prince noted that "Iran ... and there is no way to remove it except by removing the regime".
As a reminder, last night "The Wall Street Journal" reported that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are "considering" joining the military campaign against Iran. This follows the numerous missile attacks both countries have been sustaining from Iran. However, it should be noted that the two countries have not yet made a decision.
Meanwhile, an official Pakistani source told Reuters in the afternoon that "there is enormous mistrust on the Iranian side regarding talks with the U.S., and it is by no means certain that an agreement will be reached". The Pakistani government has offered to host, in the coming days, a meeting in its country between President Trump’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, and Iranian officials, in order to bring the war to an end. The proposal is supported by Turkey and Egypt.
