Kiryat Shmona’s municipal spokesperson said this afternoon (Wednesday), with police authorization, that for the first time in the current round of fighting with Hezbollah, the Lebanese terror organization fired a cluster bomb toward Kiryat Shmona. The bomb fell in the heart of a residential neighborhood. Partial damage was caused to vehicles and the roadway, but no injuries were reported.

It should be noted that until now, cluster bombs fired by Hezbollah had only been aimed at Metula. The Kiryat Shmona municipal spokesperson, Doron Schnaffer, and the Israel Police Galilee District spokesperson, Roy Golan, issued a public notice and asked residents to stay alert: "If you come across a small suspicious item, sometimes resembling a can with a cord or a yellow ribbon, do not touch it under any circumstances. Move away from the area, keep others away, call the 100 emergency hotline immediately, and alert the police".

Meanwhile, sirens sounded toward evening in Haifa, the Krayot, Acre, and surrounding communities, as well as in Ya'ara, Adamit, and Arab al-Aramshe, due to rocket launches from Lebanon. According to reports, around ten launches were intercepted. In response to the increased launches from Lebanon toward the north since the afternoon, the IDF began an evening wave of strikes in Lebanon. The IDF Spokesperson said tonight that the IDF struck the launcher used to fire at Haifa and the Krayot.
