Rocket Fire in Southern Lebanon Seriously Wounds Reserve IDF Soldier; Two Others Lightly Hurt
A reserve soldier was seriously wounded by rocket fire targeting IDF forces operating in Lebanon. A battalion commander and another reservist were lightly hurt and evacuated to hospitals. The IDF says the incident is under investigation, and Hezbollah claimed responsibility for more than 60 launches today.

The soldier was evacuated to a hospital for treatment, and his family has been notified.
In the same incident, a battalion commander and another soldier, both reservists, were lightly wounded. The IDF is investigating the incident. The unit was hit by rockets fired by Hezbollah terrorists at IDF troops.
Hezbollah issued a statement this evening: "We engaged an armored force of the occupying army that advanced from the town of al-Taybeh toward the entrance to al-Qantara. We attacked a D9 bulldozer from close range with direct missiles and achieved a confirmed hit".
This afternoon, the IDF Spokesperson also reported that a combat officer was lightly wounded during operations in southern Lebanon. The wounded officer was evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment. It was also reported that IDF forces fought today against terrorist cells.
Meanwhile, rocket launches from Lebanon toward northern Israeli communities continued into the evening. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for more than sixty launches over the course of the day.
