Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah teams who were dispatched to the scene immediately began lifesaving measures. After intensive efforts, the teams succeeded in restoring a pulse and stabilizing her condition.
Rivka Tuito, a United Hatzalah EMT who arrived along with medics David Ohonona and Tzemach Elias, said: "We were told that during the siren she tried to quickly get out of bed to reach a safe room and stumbled. She had no pulse and was not breathing. We performed advanced resuscitation that included administering two electric shocks with a defibrillator. Miraculously, after tremendous efforts, her heart began to beat again."
After initial stabilization at the scene, the girl was transported by a mobile intensive care unit ambulance for further treatment at Ziv Medical Center in Tzfat. During transport she was sedated and intubated, and at the hospital she was brought to the trauma room for a series of tests and continued medical care.
As of now, her condition is described as serious but stable. Medical teams continue to monitor her and conduct additional tests.
