The IDF spokesperson revealed today (Sunday) that, for the first time, a cross-border operation was carried out from the Syrian Hermon into southern Lebanon. Soldiers from the IDF Alpine Unit, under the Mountain Brigade (810), completed a dedicated mission to thwart efforts by terror organizations to entrench themselves in the Lebanon–Syria border area.

As part of the operation, the forces operated in complex mountainous terrain and climbed through snow from the Syrian Hermon to the Har Dov area in southern Lebanon, aiming to sweep the area, collect intelligence, and locate terror infrastructure.

According to the IDF, "Division 210 forces continue to be deployed in the area in order to protect the security of the citizens of the State of Israel, and residents of the north in particular".
