They Suspected Lymphoma: Then Came the Unexpected Answer
What began as a frightening suspicion of lymphoma turned into an unexpected outcome, as faith and persistence led to a result no one could explain.

How good is Hashem.
Last summer, we decided to renovate our home. It is not exactly small, a two story house that had suffered from dampness and leaks throughout the winter. What followed was a long and exhausting process.
Contractors came and went. Some arrived late, some did not show up at all. The house filled with dust, and the days dragged on. It felt like everything was stretched thin, like something that had already lost its strength.
When Something Feels Off
In the middle of all that chaos, I noticed something strange.
Clusters of pink red marks began appearing on my body. At first, I assumed it was just a rash from the intense summer heat. I applied some cream and kept going, busy managing the renovation.
But a month passed, and instead of improving, the marks became worse. Redder, more aggressive, impossible to ignore.
I went to see a dermatologist.
A Frightening Possibility
The doctor looked concerned. Very concerned.
She mentioned a possible diagnosis, mycosis fungoides, a type of skin lymphoma. She immediately referred me for a biopsy at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.
Waiting for results is never easy.
I am usually a strong person. I try, with Hashem’s help, to face life with optimism. But when it comes to health, everything feels different. I struggle with the uncertainty, with the lack of control, with the fear of the unknown.
Until I have answers, it feels like a cloud is hanging over me.
Living With Uncertainty
After what felt like an endless wait, the results came back inconclusive. I would need another biopsy, deeper and more comprehensive.
Doubt settled in.
And doubt has a way of draining strength. It creates questions, fears, and endless possibilities. Yet even in that space, I reminded myself that nothing happens without purpose.
The renovation was long finished by then, but it no longer mattered. All my focus was on my health.
I returned to Hadassah. Another biopsy. Another wait.
Holding On to Faith
Through it all, I held on to one thing.
I knew Who was guiding everything.
Even as the marks worsened, I reminded myself again and again that there is only one Healer, and that everything comes from Him for the good.
I said Asher Yatzar slowly and with intention. I prayed every day, sometimes for an hour, refusing to give in to fear.
Moments of Strength
One day, my daughter came to visit. She told me she had booked a trip to Uman, to pray at the resting place of Rabbi Nachman.
She smiled and said, “I’m going, Mom. And of course, you’ll watch the kids while I’m gone.”
She returned with holy water and asked me to apply it daily. She believed deeply in miracles.
We also went to pray at Kever Rachel. Standing there, I felt a deep sense of compassion and connection. I gave charity, and through tears, my daughter blessed me with complete health.
The Moment Everything Changed
After months of waiting, worrying, and praying, I returned for a full evaluation at Hadassah’s oncology department.
The doctor reviewed everything carefully.
Then came the words I had been hoping to hear.
“It is unclear what happened,” she said. “There is nothing to examine. The marks are gone.”
Gone.
Completely gone.
A Reminder of What Matters
There is a well known idea: do not tell Hashem how big your problems are. Tell your problems how great Hashem is.
When you think about it that way, what are a few marks on the skin?
In that moment, everything became clear.
Gratitude.
A Heart Full of Thanks
Thank You, Hashem, for everything.
Thank You for the fear that brought me closer, for the strength to hold on, and for the healing that followed.
You are the One who heals, the One who guides, and the One who brings light even into the darkest moments.
