Trump to Iran: "Surrender and raise a white flag" as UAE reports third strike in 24 hours

The United Arab Emirates says Iran launched cruise missiles and drones in a third attack within a day. At the White House, Trump said Tehran "knows what not to do" and touted U.S. strength. America’s top general called the current mission defensive "for now," while Iran’s Revolutionary Guards warned ships in the Strait of Hormuz to stick to Iran’s designated corridor.

The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defense reported in the early evening (Tuesday) on a combined attack by Iran toward Emirati territory. According to the report, the Iranians launched several cruise missiles and drones. Several loud explosions were reported in the Gulf state. This was the third Iranian attack within 24 hours.

President Donald Trump delivered a brief statement to reporters at the White House this evening. Trump said: "We are doing a very good job when it comes to Iran. They don't like playing games with us. They don't like it at all. You will see it. Over time, you will see it!".

"Iran respects us now. They didn't use to do that. Iran also knows what not to do because Iran's boats are not as fast as our missiles. Iran needs to surrender and raise a white flag".

Trump again addressed the nuclear issue and emphasized: "We must not allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon - we and the world will be in trouble if those crazies have a nuclear weapon. Before our bombers arrived, they were two weeks away from a nuclear weapon".

Earlier today, the Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Dan Kane, surprised when he noted at a Pentagon press conference that "the American military operation is defined as defensive at this stage, but it may develop later".

Kane added that Iran is still defined as a significant threat, especially in the maritime domain. However, he said, "The U.S. is still below the threshold for returning to war". Kane, and the Secretary of War Pete Hegseth were asked at a press conference what red line would trigger an American response? Hegseth replied: "A significant blow to shipping lanes or to American forces will lead to a significant response".

In response to the American statements, the Revolutionary Guards published a statement: "We warn all vessels intending to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The only safe route to pass through the strait is the corridor Iran announced previously, and diverting vessels to other routes is not safe and will be met with a firm response from the Revolutionary Guards Navy".

The Iranians announced this evening the establishment of a body responsible for managing passage in the Strait of Hormuz. In addition,  the Revolutionary Guards issued a new warning to vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. The wording of the warning: "The only safe passage in the Strait of Hormuz is via the route Iran predetermined. Deviation to other routes will be considered unsafe and will be met with a 'firm' response from the Revolutionary Guards".
