New details emerged today (*Shabbat*) about the scope of the threats attributed to the Iraqi terror suspect, Mohammed Baker al-Saadi, who was arrested last week in Turkey and extradited to the United States. The developments come after he was charged with planning a series of attacks against Jewish and American targets around the world. According to a report in the "New York Times," al-Saadi also explored the possibility of assassinating Ivanka Trump, the daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, and her husband Jared Kushner.

According to the report, al-Saadi possessed a map of the area where the couple live in Florida, while also posting threatening messages on social media against the Trump family. One of the sources cited in the report claimed that after the killing of Iran Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani, al-Saadi said that "Trump's house should be burned just as they burned our house." It was also reported that alongside a picture of the area where the house is located, he posted a threat in Arabic that read: "Neither the palaces nor the Secret Service will be able to protect you."

In the United States, officials say that al-Saadi operated as part of a broader terror network that targeted Western and Jewish sites. It is also alleged that he maintained close ties with Iran's Revolutionary Guards and with the Kataib Hezbollah militia in Iraq. According to the investigative materials, Soleimani's killing marked a personal and ideological turning point for him, after which he swore revenge against the United States and the Trump family.

According to investigators, alongside the public threats, al-Saadi also engaged in intelligence-gathering, surveillance, and possible operational planning. The investigative documents claim that at the same time, he tried to recruit operatives to carry out attacks, and even held conversations recorded by investigators about attacking a "Jewish house of worship."

According to the indictment, al-Saadi is accused of planning at least 20 attacks since the start of the war in Iran, intended to be carried out in Europe, the United States, and Canada. Among the targets and incidents mentioned in the documents: the arson of a synagogue in the city of Liege in Belgium, as well as an arson attack against a Bank of America branch on the Champs-Elysees in Paris. It is also alleged that he considered targeting additional synagogues and Jewish institutions.

Al-Saadi was arrested in Turkey while on his way to Moscow, and was later extradited to the United States. According to authorities, photographs found showing him alongside Soleimani and other senior Iranian figures strengthen the suspicion of his ties to pro-Iranian networks.
