Under the framework, more than NIS 1 billion will be allocated to the Defense Ministry and the IDF between 2026 and 2029 in order to carry out the responsibility assigned to them to bring the Nukhba terrorists to justice.
The budget will be used to establish the physical infrastructure required to implement the law, including a court complex, prosecution offices, and an IDF headquarters; for recruiting personnel; salary costs; upkeep and maintenance of the buildings; computer and communications systems; and broadcasting, communications, food service, medical, transportation, and related services. The defense establishment will now begin, following the government’s approval and the allocation of the budget, all necessary preparations to advance the judicial proceedings and fully prosecute the terrorists.
Defense Minister Israel Katz: "We are acting to ensure that every one of the murderers who took part in the murderous terror attack against Israeli civilians bears full responsibility for his actions. Putting them on trial is our moral and national duty to those who were murdered, the bereaved families, the survivors, the hostages and their families, and all citizens of Israel. The State of Israel will bring to justice those responsible for the most brutal massacre committed against the Jewish people since the Holocaust, and will send a sharp and clear message to all our enemies: whoever slaughters, murders, rapes, and kidnaps Israeli civilians will pay the full price."
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich': "The State of Israel is committed to doing justice with those who dared to threaten our existence and massacre our civilians. We are now allocating the full budget in order to advance this moral obligation, and so that all who plot evil against us will know their fate and what awaits them."
