The IDF said it struck and destroyed today (Tuesday) the launcher from which some of the rockets were fired at IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon, shortly after the Israeli Air Force intercepted the launches carried out by the Hezbollah terror organization.
According to a statement from the IDF Spokesperson, earlier in the day several rockets were identified as having been launched toward the area where IDF forces are operating in southern Lebanon. The Israeli Air Force moved to intercept the launches, and the rockets were intercepted before they could hit the forces.
It was also reported that, in line with existing policy, no alerts were activated following the fire. The IDF emphasized that shortly after the incident, operational activity was carried out to locate the source of the launches, and at its conclusion, the launcher used by the terrorists to carry out the fire was struck.
In addition, IDF forces identified a suspicious vehicle earlier today in the area where they are operating in southern Lebanon. According to the statement, the forces initially responded by firing warning shots at the vehicle in order to drive it away from the area. Later, after the threat was not removed, a strike was carried out in the area.
