Israeli Reservist Seriously Wounded in Blast in Southern Lebanon
The IDF is still investigating the circumstances of the incident in which a reservist was seriously wounded during operational activity near the village of Arnoun in southern Lebanon. As of now, the source of the explosion, which took place around 1:30 p.m., has not yet been determined.

(Photo: Chaim Goldberg, Flash90)The IDF spokesperson said Monday evening that a reservist was seriously wounded earlier today in an explosion in southern Lebanon. The soldier was evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and his family has been notified.
As of now, the IDF still has not been able to determine the source of the explosion, which took place around 1:30 p.m. during operational activity by a Commando Brigade force in the area of the village of Arnoun.
Earlier today, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that the IDF carried out artillery fire toward the villages of Deir Siriane and Haddatha in the Nabatieh District, while also striking a building in the village of Deir Mimas in the same district.
Yesterday, it was cleared for publication that Capt. David Hazout, 21, from Ashkelon, a platoon commander in Battalion 12 of the Golani Brigade, was killed in battle in southern Lebanon. Hazout was killed during an encounter with a Hezbollah terrorist in the Deir Siriane area. In the same incident, another IDF soldier was lightly wounded.
