The Israeli military has expanded its control over additional territory in the Gaza Strip, according to an analysis of recent satellite imagery. The images point to advances on two separate fronts: the central part of the strip, near the central refugee camps, and the northwestern corner, close to the Mediterranean coastline.

In the northwest, Israeli-controlled areas have pushed significantly deeper into territory previously held by Hamas. The westward movement along the coastline marks a notable shift in that sector, limiting Hamas's ability to move fighters and supplies along the strip's western edge.

In the central camp area, Israeli forces appear to be consolidating control over key routes and built-up zones that Hamas has relied on for movement and operations. The area is densely constructed and has long provided Hamas with cover for tunnel infrastructure and command positions, making ground operations there among the most difficult in the campaign.

The two areas of advance are not connected to each other, indicating Israeli forces are fighting on multiple fronts at once. Satellite imagery has become one of the main tools for tracking the ground campaign given the severe restrictions on journalist and independent observer access inside the strip. Images from recent days show clear changes in the boundaries of Israeli-controlled territory compared with earlier assessments.

The Israel Defense Forces had not issued a statement detailing the specific boundaries of the latest advances. The military generally avoids confirming precise territorial positions in real time, citing operational security.

Israeli political and military leaders continue to press for what they describe as the dismantling of Hamas's governing and military capabilities. International pressure for a ceasefire and expanded humanitarian access to the strip remains strong, but no agreement has been reached.
