One morning, a young boy turned to his father and asked, “Dad, is God big or small?”
His father replied, “That’s a very good question. Come with me, and I’ll give you the answer.”
The father took his son to the airport and said, “Look up at the sky. Do you see that airplane in the distance?”
“Yes,” his son replied.
“Tell me, is that airplane big or small?” the father asked.
“The airplane is really small, Dad,” the boy answered.
Ten minutes later, the father pointed to the same airplane again and asked, “Son, is the airplane small or big now?”
“It’s much bigger now,” the boy replied.
Another ten minutes passed, and the airplane landed in front of them.
The father asked once more, “Is the airplane small or big?”
“Dad! That airplane is huge!”
His father smiled and said:
“There lies the answer to your question about whether God is big or small. The answer depends entirely on you, my son. If you are far from the Creator, He may seem small in your eyes. But the closer you come to Him, the more you connect with Him, the more you will begin to understand and see just how great He truly is.”
