CIA Chief Delivers Unusual Warning to Putin: “Don’t Attack NATO, Your Situation Will Only Get Worse”
CIA Director John Ratcliffe visited Moscow and proposed a three-way summit with Trump, Putin, and Zelenskyy to help end the war in Ukraine. He also warned Russia not to attack any country connected to the NATO alliance.
Putin (file photo: Yonatan Sindel, Flash90)Axios reported today (Sunday) that CIA Director John Ratcliffe proposed holding a three-way summit involving President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The proposal was part of a diplomatic effort to end the war.
According to the report, Ratcliffe raised the proposal during a secret visit to Moscow last week. He met with Sergey Naryshkin, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), and Alexander Bortnikov, head of the Federal Security Service (FSB).
At the same time, The New York Times reported that Ratcliffe warned the Russians that if they do not work toward a deal soon, their situation on the ground will worsen. Various reports also said that a warning was conveyed to the Russian president not to attack NATO member states.
It should be noted that Ukrainian President Zelenskyy was informed about the Moscow visit. As previously reported, the Trump administration had advanced this idea in the past and received Kyiv’s agreement, but Putin opposed any initiative of this kind.
