Three construction workers were rescued Wednesday morning from the rubble of a four-story building that partially collapsed on Nahalat Binyamin Street in Tel Aviv. The building, which was undergoing renovation and construction work, was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

Police continued searching the collapse site for possible additional victims. According to the latest available update, no fatalities had been reported. Authorities also closed several major intersections in the area as emergency crews carried out rescue operations and police worked to manage traffic disruptions.

Dozens Evacuated From Nearby Buildings

Following the collapse, dozens of residents living near the affected building were evacuated from their homes as a precaution. A total of three neighboring buildings were evacuated.

Police closed three intersections to traffic: Herzl and Ahad Ha'am, Nahalat Binyamin and Montefiore, and Rothschild Boulevard and Nahalat Binyamin. Residents and motorists were advised to avoid the area while emergency personnel continued their work.

Emergency Crews Rescue Three Trapped Workers

The first report of the collapse was received by Magen David Adom's 101 emergency hotline at 9:37 a.m., following an incident near the intersection of Nahalat Binyamin Street and Rothschild Boulevard. Minutes later, at approximately 9:40 a.m., Israel Fire and Rescue Services received several additional emergency calls through its 102 hotline.

Rescue teams from the Dan District were dispatched to the scene and began searching for people who might be trapped beneath the debris. As operations progressed, Fire and Rescue Services confirmed that three people had been pulled from the rubble.

"So far, three trapped individuals have been rescued. Searches for additional people are ongoing," the agency said in a statement. "Preliminary information indicates that the building was undergoing construction work and was not occupied by residents. Those trapped at the site are believed to be construction workers."

Authorities also reported that five additional workers had left the building shortly before part of the structure collapsed.

Tel Aviv Municipality Urges Public to Avoid the Area

The Tel Aviv Municipality called on residents to keep their distance from the collapse site and avoid traveling to the surrounding area.

"A short time ago, an unoccupied building designated for demolition collapsed at 61 Nahalat Binyamin Street," the municipality said in a statement. "We are at the scene alongside emergency and security forces and are continuing search operations."

Emergency crews remained at the site as authorities continued searching for possible additional victims and assessing the safety of the surrounding buildings.
