Watch: IDF Releases Footage of Terrorists' Elimination Near Hebron
Newly released security footage shows IDF soldiers confronting and eliminating two terrorists in an attack near Hebron that left two soldiers dead.

The IDF released footage yesterday (Sunday) showing the moment the two terrorists who carried out the attack at Yehuda Junction, near Hebron, two days ago were eliminated. During the exchange of fire, Staff Sergeant Ron Yonatan Roitman and Sergeant Yuval Shai Svilem, may Hashem avenge their blood, were killed, and five other soldiers were lightly wounded.
The security camera footage shows the exchange of fire between the terrorists and the forward command post of the deputy commander of the Home Front Command's “Ari” Battalion. During the battle, a soldier is seen charging toward the terrorists and opening fire. Seconds later, additional soldiers join him, and both terrorists are eliminated in the exchange.
As reported, the attack began when two terrorists from Hebron arrived by vehicle at Yehuda Junction and opened fire on an IDF force operating in the area. An exchange of fire broke out between the terrorists and the soldiers, lasting more than 20 minutes. During the encounter, two soldiers were killed and others were wounded.
Additional IDF forces rushed to the scene and worked to flank the terrorists, eventually succeeding in eliminating both of them.
Following the attack, the IDF launched a broad counterterrorism operation in Hebron. Thousands of residents were evacuated, and homes were demolished to create a sterile zone around the junction. The commander of the Yehuda Brigade, Colonel Dotan Maloul, addressed the IDF's response to the attack, saying: “With this pain, we went on the offensive throughout the entire Yehuda sector, an intensive and significant offensive.”
The deputy commander of the Ari Battalion, Major R., said: “Two days ago, we had a very difficult encounter in which two of our finest sons were killed, heroes who shielded with their bodies the civilians and residents here in the sector. Since then, over the past 48 hours, we have launched an operation that includes significant counterterrorism actions in order to protect the residents here in the sector and to ensure a normal fabric of life.”
