Weapons and IDF Uniforms Seized in Bethlehem Security Operation

Israel Police announced Monday that officers from the Gilad District Crime-Fighting Unit, working alongside IDF soldiers from the Etzion Regional Brigade, conducted intelligence-based searches at several locations in Bethlehem.

Among the properties searched was the home of a suspect believed to be affiliated with Hamas. Security forces also searched the home of another suspect who was believed to be in possession of weapons.

During the searches, officers seized a loaded hunting rifle, IDF uniforms, and additional technological equipment.

The two suspects, Bethlehem residents in their 20s and 30s, were arrested and taken to the Ma'ale Adumim police station for questioning. They were questioned on suspicion of unlawful possession or carrying of a weapon and possession of military equipment without a permit. Following their questioning, both were remanded in custody.

In a separate operation elsewhere in Judea and Samaria, detectives from the Hebron police station seized another hunting rifle and a large quantity of ammunition.

A 30-year-old suspect found in possession of the weapons and ammunition was arrested and taken to the Hebron police station for questioning.
