Curse or Spell
Question
Hello, is it possible, Heaven forbid, that a curse or a spell could prevent a person from receiving their salvation? It seems to me there have been stories in the past of people who were cursed and all their prayers, Heaven forbid, were in vain until the curse was removed? Also, does someone's insistence or grievances also prevent a person from receiving their salvation? If so, how can a person remove these things from themselves and be saved with the help of Hashem? Thank you very much.

To the questioner,
There is a known remedial practice from Rabbi Chida to be saved from the evil eye and from spells (transcribed below).
To annul curses, one should recite the formula for annulling curses before three people (transcribed below).
To remove grievances, one must spend time and pray to Hashem to remember if the wrong done to any person still holds a grievance against them. If the person is alive, they should go appease them (as explained in Shulchan Aruch and Mishnah Berurah, Siman 577, Sif 1). Even if they have already passed away, one can still appease them, as explained there (Sif 2).
Grievances cannot be annulled through prayer alone; one must appease the wronged party, since the principle is that "Transgressions between a person and their fellow do not atone on Yom Kippur until one appeases their fellow" (Yoma, Chapter 8, Mishnah 7).

Remedy to be saved from the evil eye and spells:
Rabbi Chida wrote (Kunteres Shomer Yisrael, Section 10): Anyone who recites these 11 verses that begin with the letter 'N' and end with the letter 'N', along with the attached request, is saved from the evil eye and from spells, and drives away the evil inclination from them, and therefore does not contain the letter 'S'.
נֶגַע צָרַעַת כִּי תִהְיֶה בְּאָדָם וְהוּבָא אֶל הַכֹּהֵן:
נַחְנוּ נַעֲבֹר חֲלוּצִים לִפְנֵי ה' אֶרֶץ כְּנָעַן וְאִתָּנוּ אֲחֻזַּת נַחֲלָתֵנוּ מֵעֵבֶר לַיַּרְדֵּן:
נָבִיא מִקִּרְבְּךָ מֵאַחֶיךָ כָּמֹנִי יָקִים לְךָ ה' אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֵלָיו תִּשְׁמָעוּן:
נָהָר פְּלָגָיו יְשַׂמְּחוּ עִיר אֱלֹהִים קְדֹשׁ מִשְׁכְּנֵי עֶלְיוֹן:

Formula for Annulment of Curses (to be said before three):
יְהִי רָצון מִלְּפָנֶיךָ ה' אֱלהַי וֵאלהַי אֲבותַי, שֶׁכָּל הַקְּלָלות וְהָאֲרוּרִים וְהַנִּדּוּיִם וְהַנִּזּוּפִים וְהַחֲרָמות וְהַשַּׁמְתּות שֶׁקִּלַּלְתִּי או שֶׁאָרַרְתִּי או שֶׁנִּדִּיתִי או שֶׁהֶחֱרַמְתִּי או שֶׁשַּׁמְּתִּי אֶת עַצְמִי או אֶת אִשְׁתִּי או אֶת בְּנֵי בֵיתִי או אֶת אֲחֵרִים אֲשֶׁר מִזֶּרַע יִשְׂרָאֵל הֵמָּה. או אֲחֵרִים שֶׁקִּלְּלוּ או שֶׁנִדּוּ או שֶׁהֶחֱרִימוּ או שֶׁשִּׁמְּתּוּ אותִי או אֶת אִשְׁתִּי או אֶת זַרְעִי או אֶת בְּנֵי בֵיתִי. יְהִי רָצון מִלְּפָנֶיךָ ה' אֱלהַי וֵאלהֵי אֲבותַי, אֱלהֵינוּ שֶׁבַּשָּׁמַיִם וּבָאָרֶץ, שֶׁאַל יִשְׁלְטוּ בָנוּ וְאַל יַעֲשוּ רשָׁם, וְכָל הַקְּלָלות יִתְהַפְּכוּ עָלֵינוּ לְטובָה וְלִבְרָכָה כְּדִכְתִיב וַיַּהֲפךְ ה' אֱלהֶיךָ לְךָ אֶת הַקְּלָלָה לִבְרָכָה כִּי אֲהֵבְךָ ה' אֱלהֶיךָ:
