Putting Meat in the Mouth Without Chewing: Must One Wait Six Hours?

AA

Question

Hello esteemed Rabbi, I encountered a situation where I placed a meat item in my mouth (without chewing), then regretted it and removed it entirely. I intended to eat dairy shortly thereafter on the same day. Is this considered eating meat, requiring me to wait six hours, or is it not? Thank you, Dvir.

Answer

Hello, Since you neither swallowed the meat nor chewed it, there is no requirement to wait six hours. You may rinse your mouth and then eat dairy.
