Birchot HaTorah When Awakening for Tikun Chatzot

AA

Question

Hello, if I awaken in the middle of the night, do I need to recite the morning blessings and the blessings over the Torah in order to say Tikun Chatzot? Or may I say Tikun Chatzot without reciting the morning blessings and the Torah blessings?

Answer

Greetings and blessings, According to the Yalkut Yosef, if you have had your regular sleep and you awaken specifically to say Tikun Chatzot and then go back to sleep for the remainder of your regular sleep, you should recite the blessings over the Torah at that time and then recite them again in the morning.

Blessings, Binyamin Shmueli
