Wedding Gift from Ma'aser Funds

Greetings, If the couple is not needy, it is not permitted to give them a gift from Ma'aser funds. However, if the couple is needy, it is allowed (if they have a need for this gift), and there is no requirement to inform them that the gift was purchased with Ma'aser money. Nevertheless, if you would have given them this gift even without the obligation of charity, one should not use Ma'aser funds for this purpose.
