Opening the Mouth to Satan, Is There Such a Thing?

AA

Question

Should one be afraid of evil forces, Satan, the evil eye, curses, and the like, or should one believe that everything is from Hashem and that there is nothing to fear? I see many religious people who are afraid of "forces," and I am not really sure how to look at it. Thank you in advance.

Answer

Hello

It is not the way of the wise and the people of faith to be concerned about matters such as these. Even though there are those who are not afraid of them and place their trust in Hashem their G-d, Hashem's conduct with them from Heaven is also without regard to these forces.

However, with opening the mouth to something bad, people have been accustomed to be careful. One must refrain from saying and opening the mouth to bad things. Speech has a power that arouses a response, and it is not, as we think, merely words that disappear, but rather it has the power to bring about action. Therefore, one should be concerned about this.
