Dream About the Mikveh

AA

Question

I dreamed that I was at the entrance to the mikveh after immersing. There was a rabbi there, not a female rabbinic authority, dressed in magnificent clothing, with a short beard and blue eyes. He asked me whether I wanted to immerse again, and I answered no. It should be noted that I keep seven clean days apart from my husband after the end of my period, but I have not been diligent about immersing in the mikveh (I am now pregnant). I wanted to know whether the dream is asking me to go and become purified in the mikveh or anything else

Answer

Greetings and blessings.

If you did not immerse before you became pregnant, you are obligated to immerse now, after counting seven clean days according to halacha, and until the immersion you must refrain from marital relations. It should be noted that without immersion in the mikveh there is no purity at all, even if a long time has passed since the beginning of the period, and how great the loss is that you keep everything properly, yet do not always complete the final purification. If you last immersed before becoming pregnant, the dream is not telling you to immerse again now, but rather is asking you to accept upon yourself as an absolute commitment never to be with your husband without immersion, despite the difficulties that can sometimes arise. And in the merit of this good acceptance, you will merit an easy birth and good sons, and you will merit to raise your children with ease and derive much satisfaction from them.
