Psalms Against Missiles

AA

Question

Hello, Rabbi.

I understood that it is very worthwhile to recite Psalms during air-raid sirens, since it protects and watches over.

My question is whether it is also permitted in the middle of the night? Without washing hands in the middle of sleep, is it permitted to say Psalms?

Answer

Greetings and blessings

It is preferable not to recite Psalms without washing hands. One may pray to the Creator of the world that He save us from all evil in your own words, and not with the name of Hashem.

With blessings,

Binyanin Shmueli
