Renewing Clothing on Shabbat During the Nine Days

Is it permissible to buy a garment tomorrow in honor of Shabbat? Thank you very much

It is permissible to buy a garment tomorrow since it is still before Rosh Chodesh Av; however, according to the custom of Ashkenazim, one should not wear the garment even on Shabbat because the Nine Days have already begun. According to the custom of Sephardim, fundamentally it is permitted to renew the garment on Shabbat, but it is still appropriate to be stringent in this matter.
