Question

Hello esteemed Rabbi, I wanted to ask if it is permissible to read from the Book of Deuteronomy on a weekday after sunset?

Thank you very much for your answer and for dedicating your time.

Answer

Dear Sir,

It is permissible to read from the Book of Deuteronomy even at night, but according to Kabbalistic tradition, it is preferable to avoid reading from sunset until dawn. Therefore, if possible, it is better to read during the daytime.

Sincerely,

Hillel Meirs
