In moments of danger and uncertainty, words of faith and unity can offer strength far beyond the moment itself. Following a frightening attack during a sacred journey, one public figure shared a message that resonated deeply across Israel and beyond.

A Message of Faith and Unity After the Attack

On a late night bus carrying worshipers to Rosh Chodesh prayers at the tomb of Yosef HaTzadik, actor and singer Aviv Alush was among those present. During the visit, terrorists opened fire on the worshipers, wounding two civilians. Alush was miraculously unharmed.

Following the attack, Alush shared a deeply moving post on social media, featuring an old photograph of the tomb compound alongside the caption, “Don’t let them tell you stories. The entire Land of Israel.”

He reassured his followers that he was well, while offering a heartfelt refuah sheleimah to the wounded and expressing gratitude for the miracle he experienced. “May there be a complete recovery for the wounded, and of course thank you to all the soldiers who are doing sacred work there,” he wrote. Looking ahead with hope, he added, “The day is near when we will get there with bicycles and scooters, very soon.”

Alush also shared a personal prayer connected to Yosef HaTzadik, invoking his merit for protection over Am Yisrael everywhere. He called for the healing of the brotherly rift that once existed between Yosef and his brothers, so that sinat chinam would depart and be replaced with ahavat chinam and yirat shamayim.

“Thank you for the privilege of being with Yosef today, and thank you for the privilege of being born into this story of Am Yisrael,” he concluded. “The continuation of the story is being written in our days, and the work is upon us to finish.”
