Thai Farmworker Killed in Iranian Missile Barrage at the moshav of Adanim; Name Cleared for Publication

The worker, who was employed on a farm in the moshav of Adanim, was killed by shrapnel in the tractor shed, on his way to a protected area.
Walnil arrived in Israel about ten months ago to work in agriculture. He is survived by his wife. "He was a young man, newly married, who came here with hope for a better life and met his death in such a terrible event. This is a great pain for all of us, and my heart is with his family and all his friends and acquaintances," said the head of the South Sharon Regional Council, Oshrat Gani Gonen.
President Isaac Herzog spoke this evening with Thailand's ambassador to Israel, Bunyarit Vichianphonto, and expressed his deepest condolences on Walnil's death. The president expressed deep sorrow over the loss and sought to strengthen the hands of the deceased's family and the Thai people as a whole at this difficult time. He also emphasized the State of Israel's commitment to the safety and security of all foreign workers residing in it.
According to MDA data, since the start of Operation "Roar of the Lion," MDA teams have provided medical care to 1,275 people, of whom 1,066 sustained physical injuries and the rest suffered anxiety. So far, 15 fatalities have been reported, including 14 pronounced dead at the scene and one who died of his wounds in the hospital.
