Cleared for Publication: IDF Sgt. Idan Fox, 19, Killed in Southern Lebanon (hy\"d)

Sgt. Idan Fox, 19, from Petah Tikva, a fighter in Battalion 77 of the 'Sa'ar MeGolan' formation, was killed by an explosive UAV in fighting in southern Lebanon. An officer and three soldiers were seriously wounded, one was moderately wounded, and another was lightly wounded.

It was cleared for publication this evening (Sunday) that, in a serious incident in southern Lebanon, IDF soldier Sgt. Idan Fox, 19, from Petah Tikva, a fighter in Battalion 77 of the 'Sa'ar MeGolan' formation, was killed. hy\"d.

This brings the number of fallen in the current maneuver in Lebanon to 15. Since the outbreak of the 'Swords of Iron' war, 941 IDF soldiers have been killed.

The incident in which Sgt. Fox fell occurred in the morning hours. An armored force operating under the Golani Brigade was attacked by an explosive UAV. As a result, Sgt. Fox was killed; an officer and three soldiers were seriously wounded, one soldier was moderately wounded, and another soldier was lightly wounded.

The incident occurred in the area of the town of A-Taybeh in southern Lebanon. The IDF struck in response in several villages. The mayor of Petah Tikva, Rami Greenberg, published a message: \"I share in the heavy sorrow of the Fox-Ara family over the fall of the son / the nephew/ the grandson, a hero of Israel, the soldier Idan Fox z\"l - as part of the fighting in southern Lebanon. Idan is a resident of the city of P.T. - the Pisgat HaDar neighborhood, a graduate of the Ben-Gurion High School in the city. We share in the family's heavy grief\".

The soldier's funeral will be held tomorrow, Monday, at 16:00 at the 'Segula' military cemetery.
